iPhones to be released this year (2019) will come along with these features says reliable Apple analyst is Ming-Chi Kuo.

When it comes iPhone rumours or leaks, there is one name that everybody would want to trust. This seemingly reliable Apple analyst is Ming-Chi Kuo. He is a popular Apple tipster and quite credible.

Kuo has recently published his report on Apple’s plans for the year 2019 via 9to5Mac and MacRumors. From his reports, Apple will release 3 iPhones in 2019, with one of them having a triple camera system.


The new 5.8″ OLED may support DSDS, and the new 6.1″ LCD may be upgraded to 4GB. All of part of the new models’ main upgrades include Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) for indoor positioning and navigation, frosted glass casing, bilateral wireless charging for charging other devices, upgraded Face ID (with a higher power flood illumination), larger batteries, and triple camera feature (wide, telephoto, and ultra-wide lens).”

He says two iPhones coming this year will have the same screen sizes, which is 5.8 inches and even same notches. Two of the phones will have OLED screen. The third one, which is the follow-up for the 6.1-inch iPhone XR, will still have a cheaper LCD screen.


The 2019 iPhones, according to Kuo will have their Face ID systems upgraded. They will as well possess upgraded batteries. Also part of the upgrades is a frosted glass casings for the phones.

Perhaps, the most exciting upgrade is the ultra-wideband radio. This will be used for indoor navigation. And lastly, bilateral wireless charging, giving the 2019 iPhones the ability to charge other devices.

Kuo predicts that the iPhone XR’s successor would have an upgraded RAM of 4GB compared to the XR’s 3GB RAM.

Other features

Ming-Chi Kuo also reports the Apple AirPods will have wireless charging. His report says the long awaited wireless charging mat, the AirPower will be release in the first half of 2019.

In the area of traditional charging and data transfer, the iPhones would maintain its proprietary Lightning connectors. Kuo’s analysis opposes earlier rumours that the new iPhones may adopt the USB-C for traditional charging, though the USB-C is said to have faster wired charging than Lightning.

He also said Apple would not reduce the size of the notches, also opposing earlier reports.

Other Apple products

Kuo also made predictions for other products on from Apple. He said Apple will finally update the iPod Touch and iPad Mini (iPad Mini 5). Apple will also release two new iPad Pro models — with 10.2-inch screens instead of the predecessors’ 9.7-inch screens.

Other predictions aside the mobile devices include a 16-inch MacBook Pro, a 32-inch 6K monitor, and a Mac Pro. 2019 is going to be lit for Apple and its users!
